About Stuart

Stuart is a Marine Surveyor specializing in Small Craft and Yacht Pre-Purchase and Insurance Surveys.

He has a diverse background in boating with 40 years of experience in sailboat racing (One Design, Offshore, and Club). Stuart worked with boat builder David Sadler who built the Fiberglass Roue 20 fleet and performed repairs throughout the HRM area. He has owned and worked on many sailboats and powerboats.

Stuart was a member at the Armdale Yacht Club and the Chester Yacht Club. Today he keeps his Grady White Freedom at his wharf in Head of Saint Margarets Bay.

Stuart is a graduate of Acadia University (BBA), holds an MBA from Saint Mary's, an ICD.D designation from the Rotman School of Business, and is a Certified Executive Coach from Royal Roads University.

Passionate about the sea, he is an avid kitesurfer and wing foiler, a member of the American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC), and a graduate of the Chapman School of Seamanship's Small Craft and Yacht Surveying program.
